Wie man einen Wal hebt

We built the whole pulley setup on a Saturday afternoon, and my daughter kept re-rigging it to lift heavier books off the floor. The hands-on approach finally made mechanical advantage make sense to her, way better than any textbook diagram could.

The lever arm really clicked for my son once he saw how a small push could lift a heavy load on the scale—watching his face light up was worth it. We've spent three afternoons testing different setups, and the mechanical advantage is surprisingly easy to grasp with this kit.

My nine-year-old built the whole pulley setup on her own and then spent an hour trying to lift increasingly heavier books. Watching her figure out why the rope needs to wrap around more wheels was the real payoff.
