Draw & Grow Planter

Set up the little chalk face and shoes in about five minutes, and my desk buddy’s wheatgrass hair is already sprouting a messy mohawk. The chalkboard surface wipes clean easily, so I keep switching his expression every few days.

The chalkboard surface is surprisingly smooth to draw on, and the wheatgrass sprouted within a week of planting. My kids argue over whose turn it is to give the planter a new face, which is exactly the kind of chaos I hoped for.

The stick-on shoes and chalk face were so easy to put on, and drawing a silly expression on the chalkboard surface made me smile every time I watered it. The wheatgrass grew into a fun, shaggy hairdo within about a week, and the whole thing has been a genuine conversation starter on my desk.
