Surprise, Poppy! A Counting Book

My toddler asks for this one every single night now. The surprise flaps keep her guessing and counting along, and I love that it sneaks in early math practice without feeling like a lesson.

My toddler asks for this one every single night now—the flap on each page is sturdy enough that she can open it herself without tearing anything. It’s rare to find a counting book that feels this playful rather than just repetitive drill work.

The fold-out surprises on each page actually make counting feel like a game, which is rare for a board book. My only gripe is the pages are a bit thin for the roughest little hands, but the engagement is worth it.
