The wood is smooth and lightweight, so even my four-year-old can wave hers around without it slipping. We grabbed some paint and glitter from our craft drawer and she spent a whole afternoon decorating, then insisted on a magic show for the dog that night. Really lovely blank canvas for a rainy day.
